On August 20, 2011, the following bands performed on the most beautiful stage in Düsseldorf at the Haus der Jugend.
Jolly Roger, Cube Casino, who also hail from Düsseldorf, Pencilcase, and The Gumbabies competed in the Germany final of the Planet Rox Festival.
However, only one band can go to Canada.
And the Düsseldorf punk rock formation Jolly Roger has made it. On Saturday evening, they won the final of the Planet Rox Band Festival.
And the competition was fierce.
The winning band from all 15 countries will be invited to play at the Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City, starting September 30, 2011. The organizer will cover the round-trip flight and 4 nights in a 4-star hotel, so these costs are included in the prize.
And we believe it will be an unforgettable experience in the still young career of Jolly Roger. Represent Germany with a hefty dose of punk rock in Canada and show the 20,000 festival-goers what Düsseldorf has to offer.
You need Punkrock!!!!
