M83 aka Anthony Gonzalez announces his sixth album `Hurry Up, We're Dreaming´ for October 14th and signs a worldwide contract with the French label Naive. On the official M83 website ilovem83.com, there is a free download of the first single `Midnight City´.

M83 is Anthony Gonzalez, born in Antibes, southern France. The unique music of M83 draws inspiration from Krautrock, 80s pop, shoegazing, and film music. Since 2001, Gonzalez has released five albums, celebrated worldwide, particularly with great success in the USA. Many contemporary artists count Gonzalez among their influences. He has also produced various remixes for bands such as Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Goldfrapp, Deftones, Bloc Party, and Placebo.
On the world tour for the last album `Saturdays = Youth´ in 2008, M83 opened for The Killers in the USA, Kings of Leon in the UK, and Depeche Mode in France, Italy, and Germany. Gonzalez about his new album: `For now, the direction of the album is very, very, very epic. Very orchestrated. I feel like it's a mix of all my albums, actually. I think it is a reflection of my 30 years of being a human being. It’s a compilation of all my previous music together. It’s a retrospective of myself.´
The double album `Hurry Up, We're Dreaming´ was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnson (Beck, NIN, The Mars Volta, Goldfrapp) and includes collaborations with Zola Jesus, Brad Laner (Medicine), and Morgan Kibby, who also contributed to `Saturdays = Youth´. The first single `Midnight City´ is available for free download on the official M83 homepage ilovem83.com, as well as a stream on Soundcloud.
