Justin Sane has made music history as the guitarist & singer of the political punk band Anti-Flag from Pittsburgh/USA. Since 1989, he has released seven albums and numerous singles on labels such as Fat Wreck Chords, Side One Dummy, Go Kart, and the major label RCA, playing thousands of shows in small clubs and large stadiums across all continents of this earth. During this time, Anti-Flag has grown to become one of the most uncomfortable and loudest voices of the underground.

Nine years ago, Justin Sane also began to walk solo paths for the first time: His solo debut "Life, Love, And The Pursuit Of Justice" was released on the band's own label A-F Records and contains thirteen acoustic protest songs. This was followed by a few shows in the USA, the UK, and Finland. Now, for the first time, shows in the German-speaking area are also on the agenda. One can expect powerful pieces that are captivating and thought-provoking.

"Joe Strummer and Tom Morello had a great influence on me. However, my biggest inspiration is Billy Bragg, whom I got to know about 12 years ago. His ideas about music and humanity have shaped me the most," explains Sane. An influence that can be recognized in Justin Sane's raw, fragmented arrangements, especially in the political perspective. While Anti-Flag polarizes primarily through their unambiguous criticism of injustices and grievances, Justin Sane wraps his messages in personal lyrics and shows a completely new facet of his work. Sane's debut is an intimate, raw album that stands out for its honesty and unvarnished directness.

Anti-Flag has always felt most comfortable in small, sweaty clubs. It’s no wonder that Sane is now drawn back to where his songs can unfold best: in intimate settings, Justin Sane will perform his solo songs, armed only with his guitar, and perhaps also sing one or two cover songs. He will be supported by the young, up-and-coming Cologne singer-songwriter Hello Piedpiper, who will open the shows as support.
