Flogging Molly „Don’t Shut Em Down“
Info: On May 27, 2011, Flogging Molly will release their new album „Speed Of Darkness“. The highly anticipated successor to the hit album „Float“ was once again recorded by successful producer Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and is the most surprising release yet from the seven-member folk/punk band.
The new Flogging Molly video „Don’t Shut Em Down“ is now online. The song is not only the first single from „Speed Of Darkness“, but also represents the matured sound of the band. At the same time, it reflects the central theme of the new album and addresses the impacts of the global economic crisis.
The visually and artistically ambitious music video also plays with this recession theme of the album. With quick cuts, it combines Flogging Molly's honest sound with a retro look reminiscent of the times of the “Great Depression”.
In the coming months, Flogging Molly will co-headline various festivals and will be seen here among others:
April 22, 2011 Meerhout, BE - Groezrock Festival
