About the band:
February 2006: Ian Clement, Sylvester Vanborn, and Dries Hoof gain their first live experiences as WALLACE VANBORN, a three-piece rock band that transforms "stonerock" with sexy, minimalist electronic influences into a magical formula.
As a result, the band not only gains a solid live reputation in their home country of Belgium but also earns the lasting nickname "Pletwallace" (which translates to steamroller).
The critically acclaimed debut album FREE BLANK SHOTS is released in Belgium in February 2010 on PIAS. It literally explodes online, with the two singles "Rite Hands" and "Atom Juggler" being played repeatedly on all public and private radio stations nationwide, including the national broadcaster STUDIO BRUSSELS. Encouraged by their success, WALLACE VANBORN tours not only the Benelux but also England, and even makes the leap across the big pond to the USA for a two-week tour on the West Coast. Furthermore, the band is rewarded in the USA with massive airplay of their singles on college radio!
After a very successful spring with many club gigs and the subsequent summer festival season in their home country, WALLACE VANBORN is now set to conquer new countries in Europe and around the world with their music. FREE BANK SHOTS will therefore be released this fall in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland through Redange Records / G-Records. The first single from the album is "Rite Hands," which aims to excite the radio landscape in Germany as well.
