Ketamin C.
The Chemnitz punk band is dissolving after, to be precise, 8 years. The band has existed since early 2004. Initially under the name Äh...weys' sch nä and with the founding members (Addi, Stoni, Sep, Dustin), it evolved over the years into a hidden gem in the realm of German punk.
After a lineup change on drums (Drahim) and vocals (Marc) as well as the release of the album "Staatsgewalt", the band began to gain momentum. Numerous concerts across the country and contributions to various compilations followed.

At the end of 2007, the band changed its name to Ketamin C.
In early 2008, preparations for another album began and stretched on for almost a year. After another change on drums (Köhli), the band released its second and final album "Raise your Hate", featuring the old drummer Drahim.
Subsequently, the band continued to perform in Germany and shared their new album with the public.
From 2010 onwards, things became increasingly quiet around the band. The reason for this was likely the geographical separation of the individual band members, who lived somewhere between Leipzig-Dresden-Chemnitz-Frankfurt.
The band played once more in Hamburg in June 2012 before the separation was announced in August 2012.
The last concert took place on 01.09.2012 in Chemnitz at the 17. Subway to Peter Open Air.
In summary, Ketamin C is a band that you won't find a second time and that never allowed itself to be pigeonholed. Influences from 80s German punk to hardcore made the band and their music a worthwhile experience.
Rest in Peace
