This year's Force Attack Festival in Behnkenhagen was overshadowed by two tragic accidents. Already last Thursday, a young man was run over by a combine harvester on the B105 in Rövershagen and seriously injured. The 25-year-old from Göttingen reportedly jumped unnoticed onto the moving combine harvester, lost his balance, fell onto the roadway, and ended up under the wheels.
A 19-year-old from Dresden and a 17-year-old girl were seriously injured in the incident on Sunday morning, while another 17-year-old was lightly injured when they were struck by a wheel loader in their tent. The driver of the wheel loader, who is part of the event crew, only reported to the police several hours after the accident. According to his statements, he was engaged in cleanup work with the wheel loader when he drove into a hole in the ground and lost control of the vehicle. As a result, he drove into the tent at the edge of the cleared path.
