Dubioza Kolektiv, the genre-crossing band known for their sharp wit and infectious energy, returns with their latest single and accompanying video "Balkan Boys," which is released today as the first track of 2025 under the Menart label.
"Balkan Boys" combines an infectious rhythm with a cheeky video that addresses the stereotypes surrounding Balkan culture. Dubioza Kolektiv uses humor, satire, and irresistible beats to question perceptions and celebrate the unique spirit of the region.
The music video for "Balkan Boys" is a colorful continuation of the band's playful approach to visual storytelling, similar to their video for "Free.mp3." With a new storyline, "Balkan Boys" continues this tradition and poses the question: Is the Balkans really as wild as it is often perceived in the world, or has the rest of the world become even more chaotic than this perception suggests?

Dubioza Kolektiv on "Balkan Boys":
"The song 'Balkan Boys' tells the story of seven souls from the Balkans who together form the band Dubioza Kolektiv. We are often compared to seven unruly, drunken dwarfs abandoned by a disappointed Snow White. Without supervision and control, one day the dwarfs decided to trade their pickaxes for melodies, leave the mines, and instead write songs and form a band.
The kickoff to their 2025 tour:
The music of Dubioza Kolektiv is not just meant to be heard, but also to be experienced!
The band is embarking on another tour around the sun, starting in February in Slovenia and continuing in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, and many other countries. Some of the concerts are already sold out, including the one at the legendary Paradiso Club in Amsterdam.
Dubioza Kolektiv, masters at turning concerts into huge parties, are ready to get the audience dancing again!
