Split Chain LIVE
26.06.25 - Jera On Air, Ysselsteyn
The promising nu-gaze band Split Chain from Bristol, currently touring the USA with Silverstein and Thursday, has released their new single "I'm Not Dying To Be Here" today via Epitaph Records.
About the track, the band says: "This song is a defiant anthem about breaking free from toxic relationships, no matter how deep the connection is. It explores the inner struggle of claiming your space when the person causing harm is a family member, a long-term partner, or a close friend. It is a raw and honest reflection on the courage it takes to choose yourself, even if it means separating from someone you once trusted."

Since their formation in 2023, Split Chain from Bristol - vocalist Roberto Martinez-Cowles, guitarists Oli Bowles and Jake Reid, bassist Tom Davies, and drummer Aaron Black - have made waves with their audacious blend of shoegaze and nu-metal influences, which they call "nu-gaze."
The band was founded as a creative outlet while they were on the path to recovery from their addiction, and the band members formed a deep connection through the healing power of music. By processing their personal struggles into emotionally charged songs, they have garnered a growing fanbase that is drawn to their vulnerability and honesty. "We wrote music as an escape, as a distraction, to create what we wanted to hear," the band explains. "In the end, we loved what we created so much that it became Split Chain."
Supported by a handful of self-released tracks that have reached fifteen million streams to date, their organic momentum has led them to a home at Epitaph Records, where they continue to expand their global reach.
