30 years of LOADED! With their new EP MIDNIGHT MILES, the Mannheim punk-ska institution delivers two full of captivating songs and shows itself in truly explosive and energetic form. They possess the energy, spontaneity, and enthusiasm of a band that is many years younger than themselves - albeit with the wisdom that comes from living for several decades.
MIDNIGHT MILES is a powerful and coherent combination of anthemic punk rock and driving ska with references to THE CLASH and RANCID, as well as an enthusiasm that can sometimes take your breath away. Lyrically, the band continues to explore SPRINGSTEEN territory, with themes about life after midnight and the pressures of life in a divided world. For the exiled American Nick, writing the songs was a way to cope with the frustrations of the current political climate. As the journey into an unknown future continues, at least we have a great soundtrack.
