The new AXXIS album "Coming Home" was released on July 12, 2024, and with this release, the band marks its end.
On July 12, 2024, the next song "Moonlight Bay" was also released along with a video featuring a special experiment. AXXIS sings the song with their fans.

For the release of their new album "Coming Home", which will unfortunately be the last AXXIS album, the band has come up with something very special and dared a big experiment, which was successful.
In 2023, AXXIS recorded their fans in the Balver Höhle, at Full Metal Holiday, and in Lünen to sing a great melody together. In the track "Moonlight Bay", the many voices have now been mixed together to demonstrate even more unity and togetherness in the song. Musical elements from "Touch The Rainbow" were consciously used to continue this text full of hope for a better future. "Moonlight Bay", a place where there is no hate, no discord, and no mistrust, a place where people live together in harmony, a place that can only be found if one frees oneself from all negativity. A place of imagination, too beautiful to be true – especially in today's world… but one can still dream.
Despite some lineup changes and shifting trends in the music industry, the band has always been present, and today AXXIS stands as one of the most enduring and influential hard rock bands in Germany. Their sixteenth studio work once again cements the band's exceptional status. And: with COMING HOME, the AXXIS circle closes.
The two masterminds Bernhard Weiß and Harry Oellers have led AXXIS through highs and lows since the 90s, so that today they can look back on a solid 35 years of band career, especially on an eventful and successful time with their loyal fans. With the release of the new album on July 12, 2024, under their own label, this era now comes to an end. AXXIS will release their last album and go on tour in autumn 2024 - including two major anniversary shows - and come home. COMING HOME indeed.
The new album returns to the roots without neglecting the development of recent years. With fresh, catchy songs like the title track or "Moonlight Bay", as well as songs accompanied by fantasy lyrics like "Atlantica" or "Legends of Phantasia", the emotional ballad "Dark Angel", or the band’s typical feel-good anthem "Irish Way Of Life", the band sets new standards.
Also through the experiment of releasing all songs from the album in three versions. The original versions will only be on the CD. The vinyl will feature a mixture of both versions. In the streaming area, the so-called "Compact Versions" (cv) will be released via the band’s own label PHONOTRAXX.
The album is rounded off by the epic cover artwork by Thomas Ewerhard. "As always, the song lyrics have been graphically incorporated into the cover," explains singer Bernhard Weiß. "The Dark Angel, a being of machine, animal head, and warrior human, holds a baby protectively in its arms. The idea behind it: AXXIS is our baby, which in the arms of AI in animal form and a world of destruction, fake news, and untruths sees hardly any chance to creatively reach or improve this world with their texts full of messages for peace, climate protection, freedom, and justice, as we envisioned as young people in 1989."
"It is only natural," Oellers concludes, "to ceremoniously end the 35 years of AXXIS and close the AXXIS circle in 2024 with the album "COMING HOME". Thus, this production was something special for us. It was important for us to pack all the facets that make AXXIS musically into the songs one more time. We took our time to optimally produce the songs in our in-house Soundworxx Studios."
With a discography spanning over more than three decades and a reputation for unforgettable live experiences, the quintet has left an indelible mark on the world of music. As they continue to rock stages and inspire people around the globe, their legacy remains as vibrant and powerful as ever.
