In nearly three decades with thousands of performances around the globe, LORD BISHOP ROCKS has become an institution. The Mother Tongue bassist Davo once said after a joint show about the black two-meter giant from the Bronx in New York: "In his veins flows pure Rock'n'Roll." Just like his appearance, Lord Bishop's performance on stage is grand, powerful, inimitable, determined, and simply unforgettable. When asked about his age, he likes to respond: "I am young enough to rock, but old enough to know how!"
And in this spirit, he will release his new album "Tear Down The Empire" next week.
The first video "Oops Damn" from the new album can be seen here:

"First there was Howlin' Wolf, then Jimi Hendrix, now the world has Lord Bishop!" – and he presents his best work to date with "TEAR DOWN THE EMPIRE". No wonder, as LORD BISHOP ROCKS has brought two heavyweight electric guitar experts on board for the production: Together with the Godfather of Grunge Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, among others) and the German producer insider Andy Schmidt (among others Disillusion), an album has been created that translates the blues, punk, and hard rock spirit of the American-German band into a timeless, raw, and energetic sound, showcasing frontman Lord Bishop's sparkling charisma like never before.
In nearly three decades with thousands of performances around the globe, LORD BISHOP ROCKS has become an institution that is at the peak of its groove and feeling.
Lord Bishop began his career with a move to the wild post-reunification East Germany. Without a safety net and straight ahead from his American homeland into the unknown. The tough tour, the perseverance against all odds was literally in his cradle, coming from poor and difficult circumstances. In Dresden, he began his musical mission to carry handmade rock around the world and into the next millennium. When asked why he does what he does, Lord Bishop does not hesitate for a moment. "I was put on this earth to influence millions of people on a social, spiritual, and musical level. That is what drives me."
"Rock music has often been portrayed as music for white people. However, the roots were set by black people. This has given me even more drive to bring this music back home. We must remember that the true source of fulfillment lies in loving hearts and minds. My music brings together all people with different backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities," says Lord Bishop. He also comments on his first single: "Oops Damn" is a protest song! We, as humanity, need to improve. We are divided, we need to unite, and we need more power to change the system so that everyone benefits, not just the rich, but also the poor. We must fight, we must love each other, and fight for one another. "Oops Damn" stands up and raises your hands."
