Due to the cancer diagnosis of Schandmaul singer Thomas Lindner, the Folkfield Festival had to be postponed by a year to 2024. After several exhausting surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapies, Thomas Lindner is finally returning to his band. His determination and enthusiasm are immense, and the band is incredibly excited to have their captain back on board. Welcome back, Thomas!
However, the treatment has left its marks, and as much as the band is looking forward to being on stage with Thomas, his vocal strength will not be quite sufficient this year. Therefore, Schandmaul has enlisted old companions for the 2024 dates who will support Thomas vocally.
Fans can look forward to Georgij Makazaria (formerly of Russkaja) and Marco Klingel, who has been Thomas's vocal coach for many years during music productions and has since become a good friend of the band. Georgij will support Thomas and the band at the Folkfield Festival, and there will be several special guests as well.
There will also be a medieval market and the opportunity for camping.
