Plainride [Köln] / Supernaughty [Livorno] Heavy-Rock / Stoner

Plainride [Köln] / Supernaughty [Livorno] Heavy-Rock / Stoner Founded in Cologne in 2013, Plainride have long earned their place among the champions of Germany’s Heavy Rock underground. Never quite belonging to any particular genre clique, the band has garnered a reputation for their sweat-drenched, high octane live shows (more than 130 in 9 countries to date) as well as their eclectic repertoire – experimenting with violin, organ, and harmonica from an early stage in their career. Hailed by some as the German response to Clutch, Plainride’s songs frequently feature cryptic mythological references and fierce social criticism – wrapped in catchy riffs and big choruses reminiscent of Heavy Rock greats like Monster Magnet and Soundgarden. Supernaughty are a stoner metal powerhouse from Livorno, Italy, blending fuzzy riffs, grunge grit and heavy grooves into a raw, explosive sound. Formed in 2014, they’ve evolved from their debut Vol. 1 to the acclaimed Temple (Argonauta Records), and now strike back with Apocalypso (Ripple Music, 2025) a dark, hypnotic trip of desert vibes and grunge shadows.
